Cannot find original thread. Lexington, KY drug dealer who shot a KSP Trooper in the back multiple times in small town Cynthiana, KY in 2022 was finally convicted. Jury recommended 55 years.

Wrong message sent to the killer's peers. That punk needs to be hung.

Let’s see if the judge follows through with the jury’s recommendation. Let’s see if the sentence stands up to appeal. Let’s see how long until he’s paroled.

I’d be surprised if he sees 15 years down.

Should give him about 55 minutes, long enough to find a suitable tree....

Ky has a violent offender statute that mandates 85 percent of a sentence be served before eligible for parole, in cases of criminal convictions for violent crimes or class A felonies against a first responder.

If the jury's verdict and sentence survive appeal, he will be locked up for a long time before he is eligible for parole.

Once upon a time, in a land long, long ago...................there would have been a good lynching.....about 5 minutes after he'd been caught.

Luckily, the cop actually survived, because he was wearing a vest.
Punk still needs to be hung tho, he intended to murder the cop.

One would think they should have charged him with murder instead of manslaughter. But he got 55 years out of the manslaughter charge, so there's that...

Ok I'm a little confused... or maybe I don't understand the charge of Manslaughter. If the Officer survived how was the POS convicted of Manslaughter?
I'm ABSOLUTELY NOT defending this guy just trying to understand

From the article:

"Taylor has been found guilty of the following charges:

criminal attempt to commit first-degree manslaughter
assault
possession of a controlled substance
fleeing and evading police"

Attempted manslaughter

Put LeQuan on the cell block with a few dozen skinheads and let nature take its course. No worry about a parole date that way.

IF I read correctly, the trooper survived.

I'm thinking the jury of "his peers" involved other "bangers"!
