Let’s see if the judge follows through with the jury’s recommendation. Let’s see if the sentence stands up to appeal. Let’s see how long until he’s paroled.
I’d be surprised if he sees 15 years down.

I’d be surprised if he sees 15 years down. Ky has a violent offender statute that mandates 85 percent of a sentence be served before eligible for parole, in cases of criminal convictions for violent crimes or class A felonies against a first responder. If the jury's verdict and sentence survive appeal, he will be locked up for a long time before he is eligible for parole.

Wrong message sent to the killer's peers. That punk needs to be hung. Luckily, the cop actually survived, because he was wearing a vest. Punk still needs to be hung tho, he intended to murder the cop.

One would think they should have charged him with murder instead of manslaughter. But he got 55 years out of the manslaughter charge, so there's that...

Ok I'm a little confused... or maybe I don't understand the charge of Manslaughter. If the Officer survived how was the POS convicted of Manslaughter?
