Statin drugs cause nerve and liver problems. I took some statin drugs over 40 years ago and figured out quickly that they are hazardous to my health.

You're supposed to get a liver function every 6 months while you're taking statin drugs. Are you getting tested?

Holy phugg! I'm glad I read this thread. I've been on that [bleep] for a while now. I'm calling my doctor right now and making an appointment. I'm getting off that shiit!

Statins are the most over prescribed drug in the world and its use is based on profit motive and little more. Unless your HDL is over 300 mg/dl there is no reason to be on it. After the drug was introduced, the "medical industry" (read Big Pharma) lowered the threshold to 200 mg/dl. Funny that...

Your doctor is forced to prescribe statin drugs by his employer who is owned by the big drug companies and their lobbyists.

My cholesterol is 168.

Dr prescribed 10mg of Lipitor.

I smiled and said thank you.

Never filled the RX.

How exactly is it keeping you alive? If you don't want clogged arteries change your diet (mainly no sugar). The bad LDL is the small one that's damaged and it only accumulates in inflamed arteries caused by excess sugar, excess insulin, alcohol, nicotine and stress. Not getting enough sleep is very stressful. Statin drugs lower all LDL including the large LDL which is very important for your health.

If you're worried about having a heart attack keep your blood pressure low.

I doubt it, doc prescribed a statin maybe 6 years ago. Went home, read about it and never took it.

October 2022 I had a partial tear in the Achilles, pretty painful. I was stepping off a log to the ground. I was wearing a high leather boot and nothing sketchy, would do the same thing today. Wore a boot for several months, mostly healed but still not as strong as the other leg.

Tendons take a very long time to heal, Achilles tears just happen, even to athletes. Staying hydrated might help.

(68 yoa when I tore the tendon)
