Morning sir, I still hope all is well out there in your part of the world, in no small part as we've got family there as well!
As you likely know, there are a lot of Portuguese folks here in the Okanagan and over the 40 years we've lived here we've gotten to know a few of them.
Many of them came here after the Angola war which they likened to Portugal's Viet Nam in that they poured money and men's lives into something far away.
Also many of the veterans returning from there were not welcomed back home, so they left for a new start in Canada.
All that to say Malcolm, from a few of their stories as well as some reading on the subject, I have no trouble believing any equipment used there could be in tough shape.
