BTW, I'm married to one of the smoke signal readers. If she hasn't converted you yet she might need to go to mass at 0700 EVERY day. like the old Italian women did. Assuming those LDS folks allowed a Catholic church to be built there.

She's a Christmas and Easter Catholic. Finally went to a mass here last week. Said the church was very nice.
Me, I used to go with her, but I kept setting off the sprinklers when I entered the church and they politely asked me to stay away. I tell her to say hi to God for me, however.

She's a Christmas and Easter Catholic. Finally went to a mass here last week. Said the church was very nice.
Me, I used to go with her, but I kept setting off the sprinklers when I entered the church and they politely asked me to stay away. I tell her to say hi to God for me, however. I understand. Years and years ago I went to attend a meeting of some sort or the other at the parochial grade school I attended. I expected the lightning bolt hit as I stepped through the gate in the fence and entered the grounds. Fortunately, it worked out differently, but it was pretty dicey there for a moment. I could feel the static electricity in the air.

CEO = Christ's Executive Officer.
When I was in the Air Force, I served on a Navy installation for a couple of years.
I met the Captain, who was the top dog at that location, and I was struck by how positive and friendly he was to everyone, even the junior officers and enlisted men and women. He would walk through the building a couple times a week, chatting with the troops, asking about their jobs and finding out if they needed anything to be able to do their job better.
When he found something that needed to be fixed, he'd tell his Executive Officer to take care of it, and you could be certain that it would be done.
The Executive Officer, or the "Exec", however, wasn't the kind father figure the Captain was - he was more of a bulldog. When he wanted something done you'd either snap to attention and say "Yes, sir!" or you'd be rolled over like by a bulldozer.
Being Christ's Executive Officer is just a bit similar, because even though kindness is the mark of a true Christian, sometimes you have to be strong enough to make an unpopular decision and stick to it - that's called integrity, another hallmark of a true Christian.
These are the End Days, and to many in this country, just saying that you're a Christian will offend them - offend them to the point of real anger. I often wonder when this happened. When I was a kid the finest praise you could offer anyone was that they were "real Christians".
For all those here who call themselves Christians, I pray you can get stronger in your faith and be supported in your decisions by the rock of integrity when living your faith becomes harder and harder - as it certainly will.
Regardless of what happens, I hope I will see you all on the other side!

I'm watching it now. I fell asleep during the morning meeting. As soon as it's over I'm headed out for my first spring trip to the range. I have several new guns to sight in.
Model 70 stainless fluted 30-06, sig cross
6.5 Creedmoor, marlin 336 30-30, Browning blr 358, Remington 582 22 lr, howa mini stainless 6.5 grendel, New build aero m4e1 16" fluted 6.5 grendel, 15" S-one handguard, triggertech adaptable.
Should keepe busy at the range.

As a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I have heard a lot of incorrect ideas about the church but I didn't think anyone took a spaceship story seriously. Interesting.
