Deer Creek is full. They’re taking the Jordanelle down a bit for spring runoff. If we got a warm rain storm things could get interesting.

I think you got more snow than we did in the last few storms.

I’m pretty sure neither of you guys are going to hell because of cheeseburgers, Coke, or coffee.

No shootin' here today

Winds outta the NW at 28+ mph all day

Snow squalls in the hills

The SLC church goers getting a good dose of Wasatch Mtn's spring

The weather was a little rough here too. Lots of wind and some snow. It was a little cold sighting in 8 rifles I hadn't shot before. The new stainless mini grendel and my new sig cross 6.5 Creedmoor both managed some sub moa groups despite the wind.

The scope I put on my 358 blr was bad right out of the box. It was all over the place. I took it off and used the open sights and the gun shot as well as I could at 50 yards with open sights on the wrong kind of targets. About a 1.5" group. The rem 582 22 lr dialed in quick a shot about a 3/4" 50 yard 5 shot group.

My little aero m4e1 16" fluted lighter weight grendel build shot about a 1" group at 100 with 108 scenars over 8208xbr. I was cold by then and it was windy so I'm thinking it'll do better. My aero m5 18" 6.5 Creedmoor didn't group very well. I'll have to try some more loads an a better day. It was only around 2 moa with 143 eldxs over h4350 in alpha brass. It has a new zeiss v4 4-16 on it that I just unboxed so it's not proven.

My 336 30-30 has a broken screw in the forend retainer loop so I need to order a screw. I've got some things to work out with my m70 30-06 stainless fluted. I'm hoping it is a good shooter because I really like the way it handles. It didn't do great with the few loads I tried.

I hurried because I got there at almost 5:00 but I got 7 of the 8 sighted in and a few loads tested in each. It was my first trip to the rifle range this year. It was a good change from the working up handgun loads with cast bullets I've been doing lately. Other than the bad scope on the 358 everything dialed in quick.

I started at 50 because half weren't bolt guns so I couldn't look down the bore and adjust to be on paper at 100. I got everything hitting close at 50 and then made final adjustments at 100. A guy saw me getting all my guns out and said you aren't seriously planning on shooting all those tonight. I said not just shooting, I'm going to sight them all in. I just mounted scopes on all of them. I had a few issues to work out but I was happy to get 7 out of 8 dialed and a few loads tested in each in well under 2 hours.
