Russia is surrounding Chasov Yar, an important strategic objective, as they did Artemovsk (formerly Bahkmut HOLDS!) and Avdeevka, which Russia has not renamed since they conquered it.

Putler puffers like him https://www.newsmax.com/newsfront/air-national-guard-russia-ukraine/2024/04/05/id/1159908/US Air National Guardsman Defects to Russian Army By Theodore Bunker | Friday, 05 April 2024 A former member of the U.S. Air National Guard has allegedly defected to join the Russian military after being charged with possession of child pornography, Military.com reported. According to the Rhode Island attorney general’s office, Wilmer Puello-Mota, 28, a former security forces technical sergeant with the Massachusetts Air National Guard, allegedly fled the United States after authorities filed charges against him for possession of child pornography. Later social media posts indicate that Puello-Mota has since traveled to Russia and joined the country’s armed forces, and some posts suggest that he participated in a battle against Ukrainian forces. Military.com notes that these claims have not been verified, but the Rhode Island attorney general’s office is using them as evidence that Puello-Mota has left the country. "The state has received photos and videos purporting to be the defendant in Russia and Ukraine, where he is alleged to have joined the Russian military," Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha wrote in a court filing. "While the state cannot verify the authenticity of the videos and photographs, if they are accurate, the defendant is well beyond the jurisdiction of this court and, if false, the defendant is engaged in an elaborate ruse to conceal his whereabouts." Don Veitch, a spokesperson for the 104th Fighter Wing in Massachusetts, commented on the situation in a statement to Military.com. "We are aware Mr. Puello-Mota left the country in response to civil criminal charges filed against him," he said. He added that the charges Puello-Mota faces are "very serious," and led to his leaving the Air National Guard in 2022. "Criminal activity is not compatible with our values as an organization and will not be tolerated in our ranks," Veitch said.

https://www.understandingwar.org/backgrounder/ukraine-conflict-updatesRiley Bailey, Grace Mappes, Angelica Evans, Kateryna Stepanenko, and George Barros April 6, 2024 Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky indicated that Ukraine does not have enough materiel to contest the battlefield initiative. Zelensky stressed that additional Western security assistance is necessary for Ukrainian forces to effectively defend Ukraine’s airspace against the intensified Russian strike campaign and increased Russian aviation operations along the frontline. Zelensky cautioned that the arrival of all promised F-16 fighter jets from Ukraine’s Western partners in 2024 will provide Ukraine with only 10 percent of the fighter aircraft Ukraine would need to completely defeat Russian aviation and restore Ukraine’s ability to operate effectively in the air domain. Continued delays in US security assistance are specifically impacting the capabilities that Ukrainian forces need to respond to the increased tempo of Russian mechanized assaults in eastern Ukraine. The Kremlin explicitly threatened its long-term ally Armenia on April 5 over Armenian outreach to the West following Russia’s failure to prevent Armenia’s loss of Nagorno-Karabakh in September 2023. The Russian MFA also continues to threaten Finland and claimed that Finland has “lost its independence in making foreign policy decisions” since its accession to NATO — a narrative that the Kremlin routinely used to falsely claim that NATO was controlling Ukraine and using Ukraine to threaten Russia. Chechen Republic Head Ramzan Kadyrov announced on April 5 that 3,000 former Wagner Group personnel will join the Akhmat Spetsnaz unit following successful negotiations between Akhmat and Wagner commanders. Russian forces recently made confirmed advances near Avdiivka and Donetsk City. Russian President Vladimir Putin passed two laws on April 6, offering Russian society some concession for its sacrifices to support Russia’s war in Ukraine.

To save trouble why don’t you just cut and paste this into a post every day? The most predictable of all aspects of this proxy war with Russia… the tranny insisting on more money and Biden with Congress comes running, Benjamin’s flying in the wind behind them.

A group of Ukrainian soldiers detained at gunpoint and assaulted a 14-year-old orphan as a part of Kiev’s push to mobilize more people for the conflict frontlines, local media reported on Saturday.

Russia again accused of and caught using poisonous gas against Ukraine troops. This puts Putin far beyond a redline in the ongoing warfare with Ukrainian troops and civilians.
Newsweek, Reuters, BBC, France 24, AFP I wondered how long before the poison gas accusations would start. Same thing happened in Syria when ISIS turned loose some gas in a couple of villages and tried to blame Assad and Russia. Zelensky has motive to make a false flag attack. Common tactic of a desperate despot.

https://www.understandingwar.org/backgrounder/ukraine-conflict-updatesNicole Wolkov, Christina Harward, Riley Bailey, Kateryna Stepanenko, and George Barros April 7, 2024 Ukrainian Main Military Intelligence Directorate Head Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov reported that Ukraine anticipates Russian offensive operations to intensify in late spring and early summer. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will meet with Chinese officials in China on April 8 and 9 amid Western warnings that China is increasingly helping Russia’s defense industrial base (DIB) and even providing China with geospatial intelligence. Russian forces reportedly continue to systematically use prohibited chemical weapons in Ukraine and are attacking Ukrainian positions with chemical substances almost daily throughout the frontline. Russian officials accused Ukraine of launching a series of drone strikes against the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) on April 7, but the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) did not attribute responsibility for the strikes. Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief Colonel General Oleksandr Syrskyi openly condemned and is taking action following reports that members of Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) may have purposefully intimidated a Ukrainian journalist investigating corruption within the SBU by issuing the journalist a draft summons. Russian forces recently made confirmed advances near Avdiivka amid continued positional fighting along the entire line of contact on April 7. Chieftan of the All-Russian Cossack Society and Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Nationalities Nikolai Doluda claimed on April 7 that more than 30,000 Cossack personnel have fought in Ukraine.

cuckraine army has a problem with hundreds of deserters now in Chasov Yar.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers leave their positions, change into civilian clothes and wait in a residential area until the Russians come to surrender to them.
Gaylensky is aware of the problem, and has ordered his officers to shoot any troops deserting or threatening to desert.
The problem of “leaving positions/surrendering” was still relevant in Artemovsk (fka "Bakhmut HOLDS!") and Avdeevka, but in Chasov Yar it has become catastrophic due to the low morale of the army.

Moscow has mortgaged its future to China in order to keep receiving key parts to their defense industry. Russia has also been cited for providing technology to Iran and North Korea in trades for their arms. This is according to NATO’s Stoltenberg who has provided proof to all NATO members.
