I burnt up my old generator by over loading it, so it's time to buy a new, bigger output one.

Anyone have a Westinghouse generator?

I'm thinking the Westinghouse Ecogen 10,000 should be big enough to power my house in an emergency situation.

My old one was 6500 output, and would run the lights, well, and "some" other, but not my heat pump.

This one is small enough to fit in the locking space I have.

Couple months ago, I installed a Westinghouse generator on a fire engine. Haven't run it enough to tell whether it will last or not, but it came with good reviews.

Waiting to see what others have to say, also.

Sam's had the 12,500 surge dual fuel with remote starting for over a grand. The guy at the local power and light told me it was a good choice to backup the house power with a cut out switch on the meter. So I bought it and it runs and starts fine.. mb

I have a Westinghouse 4500 DF inverter that I take to Deer Camp.

It’s great, remote start, runs off of my 120gal LP tank and is super quiet.

My house backup is a Champion 10,000 Duel Fuel that works well, but it’s loud and really sucks up the fuel, way more and my old Honda that I gave to my son.

Sorry, no idea about the big guy Westinghouse, but if they are anything like my 4500, it’s would be GTG as far as I’m concerned.

I've got the Westinghouse 12500 dual fuel. Runs my whole house, though I do shut off the 220s. Mine is wired in to the panel with a lockout switch.

After I bought mine, my brother and sister got one. Got mine through Amazon. $1000 with free shipping to my house.

I run a Honda 7500i , powers everything I got sips ⛽ ands quite.... suicide cord set up.

I put one on my inlaws trailer. They're Chinese with a power name.

If you want to run your heat pump off a generator then I think you will need "soft start" or else it will brown out your generator.

I been thinking about getting a bigger generator I now have a Champion it's been a good one. Westinghouse vs Champion which one is better? I do know Champion has a good reputation with generators. I also have a Champion rear tine tiller, cultivator, and winch all have been good no complaints.

I bought a 7500w Westinghouse for home backup about 10 years ago. Put a Century propane conversion kit on to run off my 500 gal bulk tank. Works good on LP, but haven't really ran it much. It was supposed to run on gasoline also, and it does, but runs like shidt. This was before most dual fuel models were offered. Runs on gas ok when I pull out the conversion donut.

Really like the looks of the 12,500w (really a 9500w) mentioned, I think I'll get it and sell the old one to get better DF capability.

I am happy with the Predator I bought from Harbor Freight. I have only run it on propane, its quite, works like it should.

I have a Westinghouse 7500 (peak 9k) dedicated for the whole house and a little Westy 2400w inverter for the smaller stuff and camping. Have had both since 2015 and they keep on keeping on.

Flawless, inexpensive machines that have paid for themselves by now. I could've bought Hondas for about five times the kwan, but they would run about the same and would still have cost 5x more.
