They say everything happens for a reason. For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.

What is the twist on these? I had a Browning many moons ago and it was twisted too slow for decent bullets. I assume these are faster?
I think, therefore I am, conservative.

I have the 16” version in 44. I have no idea what the twist rate is but It likes cast bullets. Accuracy with jacketed is fine, but cast is a little better. It’s a great gun to carry in the woods and fun to shoot. So many loads to play with. Buy it, you won’t regret it, and this is a good price. PS, I don’t know the OP, it’s just a good gun.

I believe they all have a 1-30 twist. Its shoots 300gr. well. I just picked up the laminate version and it does too.

I remember reading Buffalo Bore web site years ago about Marlin JM , well any Marlin, somewhere in there spec’s on 44 mag Marlin, it said that a Marlin should not shoot any bigger grain than 270 , I have a beautiful 94 JM in 44 mag, and have never pushed in over hot 270 grain bullet, but have shot all my Rossi’s with hot heavy loads with no problems, two locking lugs!!!!
