Case support is overrated
Then STFU. The rest of your statement is superflous bullshit with no real bearing on this discussion other than to massage your own ego. Suckin' on my titties like you wanted me.

Wow. Must have also owned an early Glock. The funniest part is this person actually thought (as he hit the switch on the dremel tool), âI know exactly how to make John Browningâs design betterâ.
Welcome to TN - patron state of shootinâ stuff

I had a coworker many years ago that had a 1911 that was not feeding right. His gun smith looked at it and removed a small bur from inside the magazine, and another small bur from the feed ramp on the barrel. Ran smooth as heck after that. I dont remember the brand of 1911 he had though.

Normally you can just silver solder and call it good but the alloy frames are a little more difficult.

I love seeing this kind of thing getting done. I know Iâd never be capable to do it so I get thrills seeing others do it. Worst part is replacing the barrel or welding up the place cut away then reforming what should be there.

Good save, rlott!
And this is why I don't buy used 1911's without a detailed inspection. I are not a machinist.

And a return inspection period when buying used online.
Lots of shysters selling junk; hard to believe the seller of that pistol wasn't aware of the condition.

Speaking of Tisa, if anyone is thinking about getting one look it over closely. One of the local big boxes got several in that had safeties with incorrect geometry allowing the sear pin to back partially out creating a panic scenario when a customer that didn't know how a 1911 works brought the gun back to the store with employees who didn't know how a 1911 works with the sear pin partially backed out, live round chambered, safety stuck on safe, hammer cocked, slide locked. Luckily another customer who knew what was up intervened and cleared it.
