I could not get my regular tax guy as he’s swamped, so went back to Liberty Tax last week. Only took 30 minutes and I was done. Mailed of my tax payment and get a voice mail from Liberty saying I need a IRS pin no. So I google and find a site. Takes me forever on this kind of stuff, but finally I got my front and back of drivers liscence loaded on the site. Did the facial recognition thing and it said unable to verify try again. 10 plus times repeating with no success so I opted for a live application. Uploaded a copy of my birth certificate. Then proceeded and after 10 minutes waiting for the site I hung up. I thought about just copying my return and mailing it . Your thoughts. Thanks , Alan

The post office delivered my W-2 to another address a couple of years ago and they filed trying to get a refund sent to them. My accountant requested an IP Pin for me for future years and It was never mailed to me or the dummies delivered to the wrong address again.
I made an appointment with the nearest IRS office and went in for my appointment. The guy was an ex marine and helpful. We ended up just talking about hunting and fishing for a while and he put in another request for an IP Pin. I recieved it in the mail shortly after. This year it came in the mail about the time all my other tax documents came in.
Long story but IRS will do it for you. Don't know how far you live from an IRS office.

The IRS is a terrorist organization. Funded by a corrupt rogue government.

The last place I’d trust with personal financial information would be the place with the meth head dressed like the Statue of Liberty doing the funky chicken on the sidewalk in front of the office for $8/hr
And draws folks in with an offer of “free T-shirt for the first 150 customers”

YMMV

50% of Americans pay no federal income tax. It's an unbelievable statistic.

I had no idea you need a PIN number now. Last year my regular tax guy filed for me and it was a breeze. I struggle with tech stuff.
