Be sure before you leave home, you've reserved tickets for the new smash hit Broadway show, SUFFS, produced by none other than your favorite politician and woman heroine, Hillary R. Clinton. Who would have thought .....?

I'm sure you and your significant other will be thrilled to attend her new Broadway extravaganza. wink

Enjoy your evening "out on the town." smile

Her and Bar Rack breaking into the entertainment industry.

I personally am not amused.

So far, I've made it 65 years without going there. I'm happy with that. I intend to keep that record intact.

Skirted around the edge of NYC enroute to Maine for deer season a number of times. That was close enough.

As tourists the wife and I bought tickets to a Broadway Show in NYC.

It was expensive and underwhelming.

For a poor ol' Texas boy, I'm mighty proud to have known Fort Worth and New York City at their prime, and San Francisco too. 1963 is a world away. The culture shock was intense. English unspoken in comprehensible form. Teachers from Boston the only ones, so akin to Kennedy on TV, a godsend. So many short, dark people pouring into the streets when the lights changed. The Empire State up there somewhere. The food, the languages and accents. Subways and ferry only 15 cents, cheap adventure. Majestic bridges. Immense energy out of control, uncontrollable, never sleeping. Contempt for authority order of the day, even within its bounds. Crooked cops. Fireman crooks. Both stealing lumber on their days off to finish the mother in law suite. Unemployment a second job providing vacation pay. Beautiful beaches full of beautiful, exotic girls. Cheaper prices for cash everywhere. French and Italian restaurants in the Village cheap. Streets packed with lively people. Cops on horseback. No crime or drunks. A few rummaging bums between the pretzel grills and chestnut roasters. Fantastic entertainers at the Gaslight and Bitter End. Circle K boat tours around the Island. Iconic landmarks everywhere. Radio City matinees with the dancers and enormous velvet curtains. Broadway and 49th at New Years in the snow. Worlds Fair Malaysian beer. You can't imagine what all you missed. And it's all gone forever.

Me three and I'm 85.

Her play,or whatever you want to call it is just one more reason I'll never go to New York Chitty as long as I'm alive and definitely, not after I'm dead.

From the link…..

Contrary to popular belief, “SUFFS” is not short for “insufferable” grin

The bad part being maybe 100 million women actually occupy the mindset that “play” presents.

I've been a few times and really enjoy the musicals. This one i not one I'd go to, I don''t think, though if the tickets were cheap enough.

I've really enjoyed Wicked, Les Miserables, Hairspray. I'm sure there's others, just don't recall them now. Didn't care for Momma Mia (3 hours of Abba karaoke!!)

And these zombies line up and eat from the media’s trough

I have to go to the city again next month. Most likely it will be an in and out mission but if I were to be looking for entertainment a Hillary musical would be last on my list. In fact, the sum you'd have to pay me to go see it would approach five figures.

Another way for her to collect a kickback? Like her book deals, one maybe two people buys all the tickets for the show.
