For sale is an unfired 40X chambered in 222. I took this in trade as unfired and have not fired it. The serial number puts it made in 2000 according to my talk with the Remington rep. It is all original except for the 1/2x28 muzzle thread. According to what I have learned they were 14 twist and super accurate with bullets in the 50 grain range. The barrel is 27 1/4 inches long and the rifle weighs 10 1/2 lbs. It is a single shot stainless action. Stick a suppressor on it and have a lot of fun at the range or dogtown. $1800 shipped via Ship My Gun. PMO preferred. More pics available on request.

I can’t tell from the pictures for sure, but is this a single shot or a repeater?

Hell of a deal here! Bugger
I prefer classic. Semper Fi I used to run with the hare. Now I'm envious of the tortoise and I do my own stunts but rarely intentionally

These are great rifles. I have several other 40Xs. quicker and easier than waiting on a custom.

Based on comments on another forum, I removed the barreled action from the stock and found that McMillan was stamped in the barrel channel.
