When I was a kid I would get the squabs out of the nests in the barn. Breast meat was cubed and creamed and served over biscuits or toast. It was very good!

Trade you my pigeons or Eurasians for your mourning or whitewing doves any ol’ day.

My son hunts Eurasian collared doves and fixes the breast meat. Never heard him say anything bad about the taste.

We used to have pigeon shoots at the Skeet and Trap Club when I was a kid, never did like the taste of Pigeon.
Mike Tyson would have not been amused lol

Saw a pigeon pecking away at a used rubber once. . It’s an emphatic pass for me.
