I've never been in the logging business, but I surely do like pretty trucks... This one tractor and dolly rig combined is going up on the auction block Wednesday morning, currently it's at $52k.

I’m going to make a guess and say that was 200K new, or just a hair more. Someone is getting a haircut. Truck prices are waaaaaayyyyy down (anybody want to buy a clean 2019 T680?).

Used log trucks by me, 200k would be a 2019 with some hard time on it. New IH log truck with just a loader, no pup or enough axles to do any real work is 285k. I did see a 2005 Star with a Mercedes engine, 670k miles on it for 50k tho.

That truck will sell over $200k...

$52k is just a pre-auction marker.

Must have been a large company. There's a lot of nice equipment there at auction. Nice rigs, heavy equipment, rigging equipment, maintenance equipment and even a couple nice welders.

Sold for $230k, they got good money for them. Even the older rigs 2016 and one 2020 that already had half a million miles on them got between 147k and 170k... all of them well worth the money... one of the earlier ones had a 625hp Cat instead of the 565hp Cummings.

Amazing, logging isn't cheap. I wonder if a jippo bought it, or a company adding to their fleet.

Logging ain't cheap, and doesn't PAY either. The prices at the retail end don't reflect how absolutely dead flat prices have been at the front end -- all the while the prices on the equipment, and the interest rates, are doing the Saturn 5 dance.

Wonder if that paint job was done by an employee, or if it was an outside job?

The diversity of this place is amazing! Here you have an America hating Biden supporter yacking it up about log trucks with our quasi-Conservative mostly pro America membership.
