What size cooler would it take to hold two Pronghorn skulls that are skinned out for a European mount? Let's say the skulls measured about 75" each.

I don't have any skulls to check for myself. I want to fly to my hunt with my son and bring a cooler as checked in baggage.

I've got a Yeti 65 qt and am guessing it would work.
FWIW, a moose that's cut and vacuum sealed will fit in two 120 qt coolers.

I can't tell you exactly what you need, I can however give you some European-mount Pronghorn skull dimensions.

I have a European'd pronghorn skull that the horns measure 70 6/8", the whole thing is on a free-standing plaque. Vertical measurement off the plaque from the bottom of the teeth to the top of the horn curl is 15", skull length is just under 12", the widest point near the peak before the horns curl over is 10.5". Both horns are a shade under 14" base-to-tip.

That should give you a rough idea regarding sizing.

I just checked 2 slightly smaller euros, they should fit in a 70 qt Igloo cooler.

Pronghorn capes can be fragile, hair slip, staining etc.. Take good care of those before you put them in the cooler. get them cooled down fast to avoid the hair slippage.

I have regular Euro mounts but for antelope where the sheaths come off easily this may work pretty slick. In your case you could boil the sheaths off and put them in your carry on. As a plus it will probably save you around $100 per mount.

You should be good with a 65-70 qt cooler with no capes.
Sheaths will slip off after about 2-3 days, no need to boil really to get them off.
By late season they may come off in your hand if you try to pick up the animals by the horns, Nov or so .
