I want to buy or trade for any Hodgdon's H4895 near Southeast Michigan.
I have other powders and shooting and hunting "stuff" to trade if preferred over cash.

I don't need IMR 4895. It is different than Hodgdon's H4895.

I visited nearly every shop that sells powder in SW MI, northern IN, southern IN, north, central, and southern KY, and northern TN to no avail. One shop in northern IN (Brian's Surplus) told me they've had it on backorder for more than a year now and haven't seen a single can in 18 months. He had hundreds of pounds of other powder in stock.

I have found that Ramshot TAC , nicely replaces H-4895 for me. You might want to give it a try... TAC seems to be available. Hope this helps some..

Let's hope! IMR 4895 isn't temperature stable like the newer H4895. This is important will hunting in Africa with my trusty Heym 88B double rifle... My rifle also regulates perfectly with H4895 at 2150 fps with 500 gr projectiles. Finally, this load doesn't have compressed powder.

I bought a pound of H4895(they had IMR4895 also) at Scheels in Boise over the weekend. They had several. If you have a Scheels store in the neighborhood you might check with them.
