They built one a couple of years ago about 15 miles from home. I have to drive right by it to get to the hunting club. It's a good place to get breakfast at 5AM before it gets crowded. The place can be a zoo at mid-day. 200+ gas pumps and most of them full.

I dislike that culinary affectation of dribbling some saucy stuff with a squirt bottle, in little squiggles, UNDER the food.

Hey chef, .......................................if your sauce is really good.....................put the schiedt on there like gravy of something.

There ain't hardly enough there to bother wiping up with a piece of fancy bread even.

Sheesh

Yes, but my post was about the sauce!

How was that?

They opened a huge one between Cheyenne and Denver about a month ago and my travels have put me there 3 times since it opened. The gasoline is about 50 cents a gallon cheaper than up here. It's also kinda like a combination gift shop and food court (but no tables) at Disney World but with a beaver instead of a mouse motif. You could pick up some fun stuff for gifts that isn't available around here.

A huge Stuckeys with 100 gas pumps.

LOTS of people, slightly better clientele than your local Walmarks.

Food is highly overrated.

Nice Chitters, though.

I went for the first time recently and twice on a trip last week to New Orleans (business trip, nasty town, fantastic food if you know where to look). Buc-ees is like nothing I've experienced, a mass hoard of people of all sorts, must have been spring break as there were lots of kids/families everywhere, never seen a place so full of people. Food, gifts, clothing, just about anything you can imagine. Place was clean, employees friendly and bathrooms nice and clean. Plenty of gas pumps to get in and out. Mostly found that there were way too many people everywhere and would generally avoid the place unless there weren't better options. The amount of money changing hands was staggering, I'm talking hundreds of people in and out at once, all with something in their hands. The got us for about $100 as I was looking for last minute birthday gift for mom.
