There are tons of hogs in Texas. You cannot kill enough of them. Some people eat them. I wouldn’t if you paid me.

Michigan doesn’t have many rattlers. Texas has lots of them. And the ones in Texas can really ruin your day. Scorpions are plentiful. Bring a UV light to see how many are out at night.

Texans don’t care how you do it in Michigan.

I used to go hog hunting in Graham, TX. About on the opposite side of the Dallas area that Winnesboro is to the east,Graham is to the west.
Everything that grows in the bush around Graham has thorns on it. dress accordingly. We used to drive em like deer up north. It was productive but you paid for it.We didn't have a guided trip though.
I hope you have as much fun as I did on our first trip.

Never heard of those folks, but things are very
different than when my folks lived in the area.
There should be reviews online to help out.

Lotta copperheads and moccasins and ticks
and chiggers and assorted other pests to
deal with. Bug dope and drinking water are
necessary items.

Good Luck. Pile em up

Kill some, going to lease Friday, will set the trap gate on the round pen I have set up. I’m taking two more round pens. I like catching piggies.

That outfit is about 90 miles Southeast of me.

I have heard of them. They sure charge a pretty penny per hour to shoot from the chopper.

Aire you doing the Helo hunt or Night vision?

Good luck! Have fun!

If everyone would chip in a kill a few hogs, it'd mean less hogs... grin

Pay money to shoot a feral hog?
I don't think so Scooter!
...but to each his own!

Heat isn't too bad right now. Be sure to pack a medium weight jacket.
Bugs are out in grand abundance.
Where you got pigs, the snakes won't be numerous. Hogs eat snakes.
A good stout hiking style boot should serve you well. Blue jeans for 👖 pants. Wranglers preferred! 😉

Don't expect cacti and dry, rocky ground. That's west Texas. You'll be in heavily wooded areas and mostly sandy soil. Watch out for the briars. Pigs love plum thickets!

Have fun! Kill 'em all! 👍

P.S. - cool nights, warm days and high humidity bring on heavy morning dew. It can easily soak your footwear if you're hunting on foot.

Shudda been with me today!
I'm out turkey hunting. I've got a shotgun loaded with #8's and #9's!
About 75 yards away, a thicket comes alive with pigs!
Four sows about 200# each and about 20 piglets that would fit nicely on a grill whole!
They finally fed off to the west. An hour later, I decided to haul my crippled butt back to the truck.
Probably 70 yards from the truck, the same sounder of sows and piglets appears between me and my truck.
I slipped my .40 S&W out of my turkey vest and began to whistle and yell at them! They finally spooked and ran off!
Glad I didn't have to go hand-to-hand with that bunch!
