Just sited on Golden Valley Road in Lebanon, Oregon.
Sorry, I don't know how to strip the video off of Facebook.. but here's the link I have:

Sightings in the Columbia River at Portland, in Gladstone, on the coast at Newport and Florence, in urban Eugene, and now Lebanon. ODFW wants us to believe it's the same wolverine..

My neighbor who is well versed in hunting swears he saw a fisher last year. This is SE SD. I was raised here and I farm and hunt all the time. Very hard to believe but I guess anything is possible. There was 3 lions that came out of one my tree groves last fall. Other neighbor took a pic. I now have a tag and a rifle in all the equipment in case another opportunity presents itself. I was combining and couldn't go to my other farm. Wolverines are cool. Hopefully they make a comeback. I've yet to see a lion, fisher or wolverine in the wild.

Lefty,
I've only seen one fisher (Waldo Lake Wilderness) and 3 lions. Hope you can keep the cats away from your animals.
I know of at least two members here who live in Lebanon, so that's why I posted about the wolverine. A little hard for me to believe that it's the same animal.. how many highways would it have had to cross?!

They can make a heck of a racket! That's how I located the one near Waldo. Sounded like a little kid screaming. Follow that and found it clinging to a tree

Fishers are getting pretty common around here. They've been around for years but the population must be growing because we see them once in awhile, mostly while deer hunting.

Fishers can be found in every Minnesota county so it is not difficult to believe they expanded into adjoining states. They are thought of as a woods animal but that is due to squirrels being a significant prey species and that fishers are cavity users. Being of the weasel family, fishers make due with a number of other animals as food with abandoned or little used outbuildings providing denning as well as hunting places.

Not to mention having eaten the kids' pet hamsters and cleaned out the elk steaks in the freezer.

Urban Eugene and Lebanon?

Maybe it'll help take care of some of the nutria in the valley????

The predators are returning

Bald Eagles are everywhere now here in the valley— they were rare 20 years ago

River Otters are the same

Cougar buried a part of a deer in my arena back in February

Black bears digging up yellow jacket nests and eating berries

Wolves are next

My expected use of my rifle has moved from 2 legged problems and now includes four legged problems

Was sitting in a timber a few years ago when what I believe was a stoat came bounding along a trail. He just looked at me and then proceeded on. Never in all my years of being in the outdoors have I come across one. Wish he would have stuck around as I was trying to get my phone out of my pocket.

I wonder who planted them? Feds, State or confused individuals. Around twenty or so years ago, a left leaning group, planted wolverine hair on fencing in the mountains west of town. Then claimed they observed them. After a great amount of dollars spent by the Feds and State, it was determined there were no wolverine in Oregon. Just thinking and wondering when we see the first grizzly. We all know the Feds and State are working on planting grizzly!
