From a strategic perspective, not a bad idea at all. RFK jr is a blue dog dem and not all his ideas are bad. The R’s need a bigger tent. This might expand it enough without really ceding anything to the left. You have to win before you can do anything. I think we’re forked otherwise.

Trump is not as awesome as so many prescribe. He is not the messiah (wasn’t there a dumbass thread on here about that?). He’s a prick and he doesn’t know when to shut his trap - that causes him a lot of trouble.
BUT….last time around, his policies and results were MOSTLY good. This time around, he is very valuable because he has been unjustly persecuted and he is pissed. No one other than him is better positioned to deliver a much needed house cleaning. He will do great things.
He also sucked a** to China early on, he still touts the vax, and what was the deal with the Canadian lumber tariff? Like we needed a reason to make houses more expensive.
I also remember him saying the stock market/economy was a big fat bubble when he campaigned. And he only imposed on the Fed to make it worse when he was in office. And it is worse now.
He will be a disappointment in some ways. I’m not sure that he is really all that conservative (messy, messy personal life), but it is his time and he will be extremely useful.
