Those pics look like dew berries, also. Way up here in the far northern parts of Louisiana, the dew berries grow close to the ground, while the black berries grow on thorny stems, some head high or higher. The dew berries are in bloom, but the black berries haven't started, yet. Dew berries are typically larger, also. Often bigger but not as flavorful as blackberries. My blackberry patch has its first berries starting to turn pink.
