I developed a rash on my arm after doing some work in the yard, and it appears to be from one of the poison vines in the title, by its symptoms, progression, and appearance. I've been trying to find where it is in the yard so I can eliminate it. Is this one of the above poison vines?

As the others said, it’s greenbrier. It’s a tough vine and likes to grab your leg and cinch up on it, scratching the heck out of it and tripping you if you’re a little off balance.

What kind of Chink pinko commie infiltration post is this?
That’s smilax (greenbriar)
It’s edible for people and a high quality forage plant for deer. But most people just hate seeing it in their yard.

Doesn't look like ivy, or sumac. The ivy have a 3-part compound leaf and sumac a much more complex compound leaf. Might be helpful if one reveals at least a region for his sighting. Green briar is common to the eastern half of the US. Distribution link

A variety in ‘Nam was much bigger and more annoying. It was called the “Wait a minute “ vine.

It doesn't have to be a known poisonous vine or weed for you to be allergic to it. I get eaten up by a common vine that most people don't even use gloves to handle.

I have avoided poison oak while my buddies have got it. However, poison sumac will light me up and it’s a weeks long no fun affair. Fugg that crap.

Penis Briar/ Cock vine Could be the leaf shape? Others claim its Natures Viagra. Smilax aristolochiifolia root has extensive medicinal uses. As the traditional medicine, it is used to treat leprosy, tumors, cancer, psoriasis and rheumatism. It is also used as tonic for anemia and skin diseases. It is reported to have anti-inflammatory, testosterogenic, aphrodisiac and progesterogenic effects
