He probably hit the deer somewhere else on the takeoff or landing roll and moved the carcass to the parked plane. A buddy of mine hit two or three deer on a night takeoff in a TA-4. He left the gear down and came around and landed no problem. Essentially no damage to the jet other than a lot of smeared blood on the bottom of the wing and gear. Those gear are designed to withstand arrested landings on the boat. 😁 He asked the tower to ask the crash and rescue guys if there was any salvageable meat on the runway. Their answer was, “don’t bother, there’s just a bunch of fist sized chunks..” 🤢

Fake. Where's the intestines and the rest of the guts that would've been flipped out all over the place?
RB Maybe with the tip of the prop blade somewhere out of photo.. instantaneous death, down side of the diaphragm, won't be a lot of blood. Ever decapitate someone? Ever gut a properly shot Deer? Ever seen anything hit with a prop? Very early in my Navy career I saw a guy get hit with the tail rotor of a helo on the flight deck of a ship. He was careless and not paying attention. There were pieces of him scattered all over the deck. It was not one clean cut. The blades of a prop act almost like a blender when they hit flesh. It was gruesome to see. Based on that experience that photo is BS.

Based on that experience that photo is BS. There was a maintenance CPO checking something in an E2-C on the Midway one night with the engines turning. He exited the left access door, turned right and promptly walked into the left prop. Since he walked into the prop from behind, it spit him out but not before it whacked off an arm and took off part of his skull. He survived and they Medevaced the next day.
