Anybody know / guess how many Heavy Duck Guns were made?

Thanks. I found one last year and snapped it up.
I had never seen one except pics, but I knew what it was and grabbed it in a heartbeat.
Wonder what amazing tales that old (built 1950) girl could tell us.

Lovely one. With heavy duck loads, the extra weight is a good trade-off, unless you're carrying it through a marsh to the blind.

The weight is almost unbelievable. There was one on the rack at the LGS a month or so ago marked $599, I picked it up and put it back and thought about how little I'd enjoy carrying it around.

The weight is almost unbelievable. There was one on the rack at the LGS a month or so ago marked $599, I picked it up and put it back and thought about how little I'd enjoy carrying it around. I have one with the solid rib. I like it very much and used to shoot it often for birds, lately, not so much.. I need to get it out and give it a run.

I have two Heavy Duck guns; both F/C 32 in guns-one with a solid rib. The only double that can
effectively use the modern HeviShot tungsten 3in #4s are the Model 12s and a re-stocked
Fox HE 1926 3IN Super Fox. The HS tungsten load #4s are rated at 1450 fps. That is a bit much
for almost all older double gun stocks.
