Ever been there?? It’s about 1/2 hour away from me. I been there about 3 times. I had a friend that passed about 15 years ago that knew Foster. If you ever come through the Lodi area, it’s a must see if you like mounts. Maybe Wabi can post a link?

Can’t believe nobody has been there! It’s a collection like no other. Most hunters in my area never heard of it.

Been there a bunch but it's been a long time. Thought it was closed?

Looks like a pretty cool place. Pass through Lodi couple times a year, I'll look for it next time.

I've been there many times (many years ago) as a roughneck working in the gas fields west of Rio Vista.

Very cool place especially if you're a hunter and admirer of big mounts.

Looking at the link I see it's been cleaned up and remodeled since I was there.

Ya, looks remodeled. Wonder if they still have the bull elephant at the end of the room? I enjoyed reading the stories below some of the mounts.

Used to eat there often when hunting pigs off Highway 20 in the cattle ranches in the foothills.

The chicken fried steak breakfast platter is excellent.

My in-law's had an uncle that ran bootleg alcohol along the Sacramento river with / for Foster during prohibition. Having a fast boat and the law in your hip pocket seemed to be helpful. I believe said uncle is in a couple of the framed pictures on the wall. Maybe 15 years ago they cleaned up the mounts, they were pretty bad from the smokers over the years.

Last I heard Rio Vista was the owner of Fosters Bighorn. Pretty much the biggest attraction for Rio Vista, besides fishing and the claim to fame for a one-time fastest rocket car that held the speed record.
