I once took a domestic flight to Ohio Going through my checked suitcase later I found five rounds of .38 Sp hollow points on a speed strip I didn’t realize were there in a side pocket. I guess the speed strip made the ammo look like it was boxed per TSA regs… https://www.tsa.gov/travel/transporting-firearms-and-ammunitionI got lucky that it weren’t an international flight, or to New Jersey, where possession of hollowpoint handgun ammo is a felony.

I got zipped out of the tsa line once for 2 stray 300wsm rounds.
Probably won't go back to T&C.
