Find a old drafting compass and draw a circle that's about .100 per side bigger than the big dot is covering ,at 100 yards . Actually you can do this at any yardage. Fit the dot to the target...ie..you might have to draw your own target. It's just as accurate as a fine reticle that disappears when the light gets dim. Dave Only accurate rifles are interesting.

If they could just offer a finer reticle option in some that still has mil hashes to use the reticle for holds I'd buy several more. I'd also like a capped windage option with a small cap. Ihate huge dials especially on the windage. A shorter exposed elevation and a smaller capped windage is where it's at for a dialable hunting scope. Bb ^^^ I agree, I like mine a lot. but a little finer reticle would be nice. I'm not real worried about when the light gets dim. the illumination is on during that time.
