The 7 RSAUM , like the 280 Remington, is a much overlooked cartridge.

Once owned matching pair of laminated Model Sevens: Very accurate rifles, both shot itty bitty cloverleafs. They went to the Yukon. Still looking for a M7 in 7mm-08 in a laminated stock, though.

I have one, a stainless/synthetic that is now installed in a McM Hunter stock. I had 2 of them in the Model 7, but like the balance of the 24" barreled 700 better than the 22" 7. Like MD has said several time, the 7mm SAUM duplicates the performance of the 280AI, never a bad thing.

I've always kept an eye peeled for a 700SS BDL in 7mmSAUM, but never found a good one at a reasonable price. Did find an SS M7 though, and now have a blued LSS M7 in a CDL stock. I really like the chambering. The 3 factory Remington rifles I've worked with were all pretty easy to get to shoot well. Two doted on the 160NAB, while another likes the 150TTSX.
Now with even more aplomb

I started out with a 7SAUM in a Model 7 stainless. I found a 700 Ti in the gun shop once and waited until the price dropped from 1400 to 950 and then traded the Model 7 in for the Ti. I've been very pleased and have taken numerous west Texas muleys and Aoudad with it shooting 140 Barnes TTSX's at 3050 FPS. It is one of my most accurate rifles.
