I got an email from Clay Smiley saying the frames are back in stock. I am very curious to see how these stack up against the original TC frame. I was at the range today with a TC 22 K-Hornet.

Its a shame you couldn't buy a T-C Encore frame....SSK is a terrible Company the owner is a terrible person myself and many other people wish they would go out of business....the new owners have destroyed a great business built by JD Jones.... if some thing is wrong or you need help with anything they made good luck you bought it to bad....

Well, I have six Contender barrels. Having the extra frame eliminates the inconvenience of having to barrel swap in the field or at the range.


Unfortunately, since TC isn’t making frames anymore, that’s not an option.

As has been talked about in the single shot forum, Thompson Center Arms has been purchased and they intend on going back into business in 2025. The announcement from the new owner is at the link.

Prophet River and nine35.com are just two companies that sell accessories. If you or someone you know is interested in single shots, next year will be interesting to watch. Having waited patiently for someone to buy TC Arms has been frustrating at times. While there are several barrel manufacturers, the frames have not been available, except on the used market. The prices are through the roof, much like Lee Enfield rifles.

I hope that we can order Contender and Encore frames from TC once again. Keep Prophet River in mind. I bought TC stuff from Clay on several occasions.

Great to hear T-C is going to make a come back ! Just wondering what there plans are for products ?

I don’t think any details have been announced yet. I expect we will have to check in there from time to time for more information.

Had the same thing happen to me. Never again for me.

They might go out of business if TC produces Contenders again. I hope they announce the plan to move forward with the reconstruction. WRT single shots, I hope they concentrate on the frames first and foremost. The rest will fall into place. We have plenty of aftermarket rails, rings, barrel makers and even stock makers.
