Basically a 30mm vx2 with illumination?
If not, what series are they equivalent to optically?
Are the electronics reliable?
Do people generally like them or dislike them?

Thanks in advance

At the time, they were said to be between a VX-2 and a VX-3. Most users agree.
I have 3 currently, and have had 3 others.
Never had a problem with the electronics, adjustments, tracking, etc. Even on a few harder recoiling rifles.

Nice thing is they have an etched reticle with the electronic center firedot. If the battery or electronics does go out, the reticle is still 100% usable.

The sweet one of the line was the 2-7x33. Really fits nice (and low) on some smaller rifles that call for a smaller scope.

The 4-12x40 is a great, versatile scope as well.

Reupold VXR's are LEGENDARY Pieces Of Fhuqking Schit, just like KenBitchAgain. Ask her to dangle a picture of "her's". Hint. LAUGHING!

They are FRAIL,fickle and tender junk. Hint.

They are an EASY pass, from any/all angles,if you are actually going to shoot. Hint.

That being said,if you MUST,I can send you one to demo and hate. Hint.

Just sayin'............

I’ve had two. One on my Sako 338 and another on my 300 RUM. Neither gave me one lick of trouble. The light gathering was very good in my opinion. Like KenMi said, they are said to be somewhere between a VX-2 and a VX-3 in whatever measurable you wish to consider. This was told to me by the Leupold reps manning the booth at a recent NRA convention when I asked that exact question.

Everyone has their opinion and that is mine. They sure have shot up in value in the last few years. I bought both of those scopes for $400 each back in the day.
