Cops and deputies have hissy fits about any ATVs on hard pavement, around bd my locale; just the tone around here so that’s what I’m used to.


But yes, a giant horde of darkies on 4 wheeler have been executing organized nuisance ‘parades’ in downtown nashville. Just imagine a couple hundred no exaggeration thugs zipping around, cutting off drivers and crosswalker peds

I live close to New Haven (unfortunately) and usually these thugs travel in large groups of 20 or more. It is rare for them to get caught as the New Haven Police Department doesn’t chase them on the street. It needs to happen more. It has spread to surrounding communities and as the warmer weather approaches they get more frequent.

I was on that road Tuesday night.

Stupid on both sides. Stupid rider and stupid cop, both creating a dangerous situation. Both need tickets. Pulling in front of a moving object, to cause harm, potentially death is stupid, cop or not. Riding where pedestrians are in danger, stupid again!

I would like to say that I have sympathy for the ATV rider, but I try to be honest.


The road was closed to motor vehicle traffic. There had been calls to report the ATV operating unsafely on the road. There were a number of vulnerable users on the road.

Though call for the cop. What were his options?

Do nothing?

Turn on blue lights and pursue?

Do what he did?

With each of those, what are the possible consequences?

Uh, me! And probably most of us here. Or any other vehicle, for that matter.

Yes, I have gotten a few speeding ticket for ten or twelve over. But Police cars or blue lights mean stop.......right now. To do otherwise endangers the public, oneself, and the police in pursuit.

Without knowing the full story, everyone on here making one sided judgements is just guessing, at most.

Not to mention if the story really happened as portrayed and the cop hadn't of blocked the ATV---and he plowed into the pedestrians---folks here would be bitching about how the cop should be strung up for not stopping the rider.
