I remember it well. We were told that if we were satisfied with our grades as they stood and we wanted to go home and be politically active, we could do so. I went home and went fishing and working on a crew putting in turd and gutless on the streets in town.
Not a real member - just an ordinary guy who appreciates being able to hang around and say something once in awhile.

Skynyrd loved neil young, a couple diff radio recorded archived interviews where Ronnie said they met up and hugs and back slapping was exchanged, more to it.
But it made the song great and besides Ed King wrote most of it and he was a California boy initially.
I enjoy those recordings, especially ones with Gary doing most of the talking.
