In the news: Peter Oosterhois "Oostie" died this week, the day before he turned 76, of Alzheimer's. He was a beloved pro golfer from England, and announcer in his later years, known for his wit and knowledge of the game.
Also, Jim Furyk has amicably split from his caddie "Fluff" after 25 years on the bag. It was Furyk's decision because he is injured and doesn't know how much or if he'll be playing down the road. Fluff, known for his magnificent mustache, is THE iconic caddie.
Lastly, and regrettably, the PGA has granted an exemption for that azzwipe Woods to play in the 2024 US Open. Another reason not to watch.
Double lastly, Today, I sold my golf gear. I played for almost 60 years, but am now physically unable to do so. I'll miss it dearly. I was never good at it, but loved the occasional good shot. Fortunately, my last one was one of those.
Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.

No. I prefer to make a complete break. I don't even watch it on TV any longer.

I'm gonna play as long as I can, and still have the desire. And in good weather. And that's just how it should be.
Desire has been slowly waning, lost my best golf bud a couple years ago. He never saw the game I have today and I sure miss him.
Pro golfers, well, they can do what they want for all I care anymore. Sports and games are becoming pure Las Vegas betting and Hollywood entertainment.

My parents were avid golfers. Played a little back in the day. Couldn’t hit a driver without a slice, but could hang ten on a surfboard. 😁
