Let's just be glad she didn't put down a horse...... Ain't that the truth. We landed at Reno a few years ago and made a big loop through Yosemite and points north in Northeastern California. While we were there someone(s) shot over 40 wild donkeys on the Nevada-California border. For all the manhunt and huge reward put out you would have thought a kindergarten had been shot up. Donkeys and horses on the range are almost as destructive as sheep but at least it's legal to round up sheep and turn them into meat.

So like it or not, they shot 40 protected animals and left them lay....that's worse than poaching. It depends on the motive of the shooters. Yes, it is illegal but were the donkeys eating up someone's cattle range. If you shot up 40 wild hogs rooting up a place would you not leave them to nature? If you came upon a pack of protected wolves killing your livestock and shot the wolves would you take them home. I retired after 30 years as a game warden and never once charged a man for killing a destructive animal that was impacting his property. Black vultures are federally protected and are bad about killing newborn livestock. You can't just let populations of troublesome animals reproduce at will.

She didn't do anything different than most of us here have, not all dogs work out and some have to be culled. If you have a problem with that, you are and idiot. Every single decent dog breeder put some dogs down. Would you give someone a firearm that would discharge unexpectedly without the trigger being pulled or with a defective safety without telling them? The difference is that the firearm can be fixed, but a biting chicken killer cannot.
