LOL. Maybe it was ole Smokey The Bear.

Or just Yogi looking for a picnic basket. 😜

I live south of this in CT. The bears that come through my yard have absolutely no fear of man or dogs.
It happens when they aren’t hunted. Towns north of me have them breaking into houses a lot. Last year a bear had a girl barricaded in her bedroom while he (the bear) ransacked the house.

Someone is going to get hurt badly, just a matter of time.

That's a bad day for that fellow. When he woke up that morning, getting killed in a wreck and then being eaten by a bear was the furthest from his mind.

Probably a good place to reintroduce wolves to keep the bears at bay.

The bear likely removed the driver in order to administer CPR.

Yeah but, the bear only took a bite or two. Even the bears can't stomach the libs.

So the guy got back inside the car after being fully/partially ejected?

Maybe they meant, dragged "away" from the vehicle. Some of the writing I have seen in news stories the past couple of years makes me wonder if they actually proof read/edit any of them anymore.

Did not realize they ever edited them much.

"The bear found him after he died".

I'm just north of there on the Vermont line. From what we're hearing, they're still trying to determine if he was dead before the bear got to him.

I've got two mature bears behind the house that found my trash cans. I've had to put them in the shed for the time being. The state has increased the length of bear season, but we can't bait or run dogs so hunting success is not high.

I remember a few years ago a man was crushed by a falling tree and when he was found, a black bear had been feeding on his remains. Coroner said the man was long dead when the bear found him. I believe this happened in PENN, but I might be wrong.

How do they know he was dead before the bear got to him?
