Does a beveled cannelure make the round less effective.

Beveled base just makes it easier for commercial reloading. My molds are cut for gas checks for the magnums. No gas cutters that way.

Need to get big stick in here to gush forth the advantages of boat tail bullets and the resulting improved BC for long range shooting.

Bevel would be nice if you can skip belling the case mouths on those straitwalls.

Aint ever tried it myself, I always bell a wee bit on straights. Regardless of boat tail shapes

I bought a Mdl 29 classic with the 5" barrel from my buddy back in 2004. Paid him $300 for it at the time. He still bugs me to let him buy it back. It's my favorite handgun and I've carried it on my chest all over AK.
