If you watch the challenge, he sets it up so that anyone who doesn't have the rifle zeroed at 100 yards will automatically fail. With that said, his video highlights that there are still a lot of people who claim to be able to shoot well who exhibit terrible or no fundamentals. It's like no one ever taught them about natural point of aim, breath control, trigger control, or basic stability principles.
All you have to do is go down to the local range and watch people shoot. Then, as they leave the range, ask them how they shot today. Most of the time, the answer is "under an inch." Having watched them shoot, I just assume they thought I was asking them how long their dicks are.
Asking the average shooter how well he shoots his rifle is about like asking the guy pulled over at a DUI stop how many drinks he had. The drunk driver's answer is always "about two drinks."* The shooter's answer is "under an inch" or "less than one MOA." Either that or they blame the rifle.
* - Unless you pull over a Marine, then the answer is "not that many, only about 8 or 9." My First Sergeant and I had a good chuckle about that answer when we saw it in the police report.
I have watched alot of people shoot at ranges and dirt pits in the country. And some couldn't hit a basketball. I have seen others that could shoot one enlarged hole. And some of the good shooters didn't have elaborate equipment.

The people who spend their money on average equipment and shoot it a lot usually shoot better than the people who buy top-of-the-line equipment and shoot it only occasionally. Unless, of course, the first person has never learned good fundamentals.

Any rifle with any rest/setup and any ammo? how many Win 70s and Tikkas do you have that would smoke 1 MOA regularly enough to be called "on demand"
