Bit hard to give feedback without knowing the condition of the two used rods. I guess they're in OK condition for the shop I do prefer #4 weights over #5s. I see the Clearwater sells for $249, so for the same price ($250) you could get a bonus reel and line.
Can you cast them and see which one you like?

All used. Unfortunately, each is a different seller so casting them is difficult.

the orvis clearwater package if it were me That would be the sweet spot IMO. Once you've been at it a while you may find your casting style and location mens another rod but that's a good start.

Current rod is a 7' Eagle Claw fiberglass, #6 line. Not a lot of reach and a bit of a hard caster. I probably used it 10 times.

At $50 either of the two Temple Forks are deal if for no other reason than to try 'em out - keep in mind to find what you want you first have to find out what you don't want. Not knowing what line weight & length is ideal, I would be hoping for a 4wt in the 8'-6" and either a 4 or 5wt in the 9'

I have 9 foot TFO rods in their Pro II series in weights 4,5, and 6. The rods listed in that sale are probably the ones with the green blank. The Lefty Kreh Pro II rods have black blanks. My 4 and 5 weight rods are the Pro II type with black blank. My 6 weight has the green blank and is a cheaper version of the version with a black blank. I was casting all three in my backyard today, and like them all. They are medium-fast rods. The 6 weight seemed to be a bit faster than the others. I use the 4 weight around here, but will take the 5 and 6 weights up to the West Branch of the Delaware in June.
If you have a favorite brand of rod, pick that one. However, if a medium fast rod is what you like, you can't go wrong at $49.

I would go with the Clearwater package. It's ready to rock. Lamson Liquid isn't anything fancy, but they're solid for the the money. I have 3 of them, they have had anything but a gentle life and they have never let me down.
Just because you're offended doesn't mean your right.

Something completely different:
Get the $119 TFO 9' 4 piece 4wt from Sierra Outpost. 4 piece rods are way more convenient than 2 piece rods when it comes to transport.
https://www.sierra.com/temple-fork-outfitters-professional-ii-fly-rod-4wt-9-4-piece~p~94hpw/?filterString=s~fly-rod%2F
Get a $50 Maxcatch reel off of ebay or amazon, or better yet, a Lamson Liquid either single or 3 pack off of Sierra Trading post for $89-$159
Go to a fly shop, and use their tryout lines to figure if you want to use the rod with a 5 wt or 4 wt. Buy the line from them. Don't try and be too cheap on the line.
Go catch some fish...
P.S. The Lamson Remix 3 packs they have on sale are catching my eye even...

If you don’t go for the Moonshine Drifter 4 wt I would be interested if you are willing to share the source. Thanks
There's 2 dates they carve on your tombstone. Everyone knows what they mean. What's more important is time that is known as the little dash inbetween.
