Google Riding Warehouse, search word Honda when you get to their site. Apparently, they think it is a Japanese motorcycle.

I had one years ago. It wore out fairly quick. Hard to beat a good hemp rope with a leather wear piece in the hondo when working in mud and crap

Dad used his one rope with a quick release for doctoring cows. When done, sure made letting them go easier. For real roping, the standard hondo with a leather burner was way better he said.

That was a good movie.

My dad was a livestock inspector for the state back in the 1950's and 60's when they were testing cattle for brucellosis. He had a few of ropes with that release on them. We used them on our own cattle too. Good for holding a cow, not so good for roping.

We used them when I was growing up. But as noted not for roping, mostly for doctoring.
