Traded an old marlin mod 60 for a real sweet savage 525B in 30-30.Killed a fat little 6 point buck with it on an island in the susquhanna river here in central pa with it 2 years ago.I just love that little,short,lite rifle.Also have a super nice 1950 250-3000 mod 99 that also has the blood of several pa bucks on it.Anybody else have a 525 out there???

The 525B is a variation of the Model 340, which came in
22 Hornet, 222, 223, 225 Winchester, and 30-30. They were
also stamped 325, 840, 322, etc. and the list goes on.
In my opinion they are excellent guns for the money. I
handled a 840 in 222 yesterday, but didnt buy it.

Haven't run into a 525B, but did pick up a 340 to plink with at the range last year.
