Well,last week end my wife had me a surprise 50th birthday party at my nieces house. she was taking pictures and the next day i down loaded them to my computer. this purple thing is in one of the pic's. i have know clue what this is. i was a little drunk,but i didn't see a purple ball floating around all night. ![[Linked Image]](http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a126/srwshooter/DSC00882.jpg)

It looks like a spot of water (or some other liquid) on the lens.

Is that the picture as-shot, or cropped in just to show the spot? (I imagine it's cropped). If so, how big is it in the overall image?
Looks like some sort of lens flare, or an internal reflection (light bouncing from the sensor back forward and reflecting from the back of a lens element or filter), "tinted" by the color in your wife's sweater. The concentric circles around the edge make me think inside of lens, but I could be wrong.
