An old friend asked me to contact Winchester on his behalf, regarding some Win. small rifle primers that are being pierced by the firing pin. These primers have a small indent in the very centre . He has four rifles using with them and two of the rifles have an off centre firing pin. No mishaps in these two guns, but in two rifles that have dead centre firing pin holes, the firing pin is piercing the primers. Obviously the indent in the primer is thinner than the rest of the cup. While we await an answer from Winchester, I was just curious to see if anyone out there has run into this same occurance? If so, did the company warranty them, or was it explained off as overloads? I believe he has over 4000 of this lot on hand. Thanks for your comments.
