This was mentioned a couple times on the "Misfires" thread, so I looked at mine on my GPR ,and its not hitting very square. The extreme top corner of the hammer is hitting. Is there anything you can do to align it or is this due to the angle the hole for the nipple is drilled? I had a couple of misfires the first time out with it but thought it might have been the nipple at fault. I'm planning on having it re-drilled and tapped to 1/4 X 28,as the Euro threaded nipples are non-existent around here. Jeff

Is the GPR still under warranty? If it is, you'll lose any remaining warranty service re-drilling that nipple hole. If not under warranty, consult a gunsmith... it should be a pretty simple repair with a GPR replacement part. Don't wait... it may be in his shop for a week or two.

Thanks your right,I didn't think about voiding the warranty.I'll call about the hammer adjustment/repair before I do anything.Dixon Muzzleloading in PA handles the warranty work on it. And even with the limited contacts I'v had with Lyman,I'm real happy about that. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> Jeff
