Amazing what a 28,000,000 grain chevy can do hardly any meat damage, and I bet the projectile retained most of it's wieght.

What is the ballistic coefficient of Moose? Seems a boattailed version might have cleared the camper.

Good question.
Seems a 28 million grain projectile traveling at 88fps sure beats all those other threads about Accubonds, and Aframes and such. lol

This does however validate the big projectile, low velocity school of ballistic efficiency. BMT

Small deer: penetrate better than big deer?: That must be why I've found more .338 Xs than 7mm Xs! (700,000 grains of deer penetrates better than 6,300,000 grains of deer; hence, 140 grains of copper is better than 225 grains!!)

I think you're on to something there. It looks like the moose deflected, but the deer had straightline penetration. Or maybe the moose was of conventional design and the deer was one of those new-fangled models!

Remember the old joke: What is the last thing that crossed that deer's mind? It's anus (cleaned up for the proper folks).
