50 yards 'cause I only have to "hold over" about 3-4 inches to get a "center hit" at 100 yards... and hold a "tad" low to hit at 25 yards.
Due to the accuracy of most .22 rimfire rifles, it's relatively easy to get a solid "hit" on a target at 100 yards when it serves a purpose.
Naturally, to do so, one must be shooting from a solid "rest". However, the lack of recoil aids one in very accurate shooting from the muzzle to 100 yards.
Beyond 100 yards, the serious bullet drop plus variable winds make it difficult to get
consistant "bulleye's" with the little .22 rimfire cartridge, but between the rifle's muzzle and 100 yards, the soft-kicking little .22 rimfire long rifle "rules".
