Truly sorry to hear of this.
But he is an inspiration to all of us and I wish him the best.
I am adding a little quote from one of his earlier posts on his feelings, truly says a lot of the man he is and how well he has lived his life.
"My attitude about all of this is... It's out of my hands anyway and God's will be done. I just pray He continues to give me the strength to face whatever He has planned for me. I KNOW the prayers are working because I am in NO discomfort or pain and if I didn't have medical professionals looking at my test results I'd never know anything was amiss.
I believe in enjoying what I have experienced in my life rather than what might have been.
I have a wonderful wife and a great 27 year marriage. Never too much of a complaint when a new rifle suddenly appears. She finally asked if those rifles sitting out of the safe were being "worked" on or just overflow. I had to admit it was overflow!
I have a son in Bellingham who at one time I just thanked God he wasn't eating out of dumpsters in the back alleys of Denver. He now is a successful person owning 2 small companies.
I have a daughter whom I am extremely proud of and I'll stop with that or I'll overflow Rick's buffers bragging about her. Aw heck just a couple of things, OK?
Graduated with honors from the University of Denver in 3 1/3 years with a finance major and music minor. Was invited not once but twice to the Whitehouse by Dick Cheney. Can NAIL the 300 meter gong with my M1A not once, but 5 times in a row. And lastly is getting married in Denver on Jan. 19th to the most wonderful young man. My wife and I love him as much as we do our daughter. Only thing is,,, he doesn't hunt!
I have had a wonderful hunting life. Elk every year that I was serious about getting one. A bighorn to be most proud of, a near record pronghorn and last year a bison.

We chatted on the phone a couple months back when we were both changing chemo cocktails and he was very upbeat about his situation. Like many, he had placed his faith in his caregivers and his Lord. He and his family have our prayers also.

I was fortunate to have spoken with him on the phone, and in a few e-mails. He sent me a photo of an absolutely magnificant bull he had taken, at considerable range I might add. It is my benefit to know him. Prayers are with ya slayer.
