hi guys
the latest rifle has me scratching my head. i need to bring the scope back 1.5" to fit me. wondering if they may have made rings that offset and face each other or maybe someone offers a custom rail that will do the same?
thanks chris

What type of rifle?

There are a number of offset rings available. I had this problem with my Ruger No. 1. I had to use offset rings, and a scope with more eye relief.

I have a Ruger #1B Hornet that I attempted to use with standard rings and a Leupold 6X18 VXII. This setup had insufficient eye relief so I obtained a set of rings with one offset.

http://www.ruger-firearms.com/Firearms/FAAccView?acc=1023%0A%09%09%09%09%09&facat=No.%201-B%20(Blued)&side=Scopes&type=Rifle&RI=Y

This brought the scope back enough so I can use it at full power. Coincidently, I now shoot the rifle more accurately as I have removed some strain that used to result in a wild flyer now and again.

By the way, Ruger also offers a double offset ring pair if needed.
