I've got an old Savage 340b in .222 Rem that I use strictly for coyote and bobcat hunting. Nice little gun, accurate and very dependable.
Anyone else have one or any experience with one?

I Have a 340 that was a 30-30 converted into a 219 Zipper,,A real Joy to Shoot!

I think the 340 series are dandy shooters i have a friend with one in 225 winchester i think its a 342, its a tackdriver,but i dont think they are a highly collectable model, well at the moment that is. Don

Is 225 hard to find? Do they make the stuff still?
I saw two boxes of the stuff at an old gun shop the other day at $18 a box.

Yes Joe Winchester Still Makes the 225. about 20 Box by the Case.
I Just got a Couple Cases 3 Months Ago.

The 225 is a pretty hot old cartridge seems its around 3700fps, it was to replace the 220 swift but i dont think it was real popular, i did know where there was a new 342 in 225 on the shelf, i probably should have bought it, im pretty narrow minded sometimes.  Don
