Which county in PA?
Do you access to an 800 to 1000 yard range? I sort of migrate a little bit right now. While I am at school, which is end of September to end of April, I live in Pittsburgh. Otherwise I'm fifteen minutes south of Altoona, which is about two hours east of Pittsburgh. I've been looking into some ranges, and have had some luck finding a couple close to home. There's a 1000yd range within an hour of my house, and some shorter ranges that are a little closer.

Boyd Heaton posts on here from time to time and is involved in the thousand yard comps in Williamsport. I've never been but I know of a couple who are involved. Great folks. Mr Heaton is a heck of a nice man... On your drive home sometime stop in and visit with that fellow Bruce Baer in Willow Hill PA right off the turnpike. Great guy! http://www.geocities.com/cmsad1/BAER.htmBe forewarned though... old Bruce will talk you into a nightforce

Haha! Luckily for me I MIGHT be able to avoid a trip down there, as it's about an hour east. I have a feeling I might be tempted to spend a few bucks if I made the trip. On second thought, I'm down that way a good bit during the summer, so a trip may be unavoidable. On the other side of the spectrum, my best friend's girlfriend lives about a half an hour from Bansner's, so I may forced to take a trip there too! Thanks for passing on the information!

Not so much with the Stoney Point turrets.
However, they are not the best choice for true long range work, either.

Scorpion, You may want to talk with the techs at US Optics they will set up a custom BDC and turret markings on a custom order scope for whatever caliber and bullet weight you may want to use. High end equipment for sure. There scopes are more like a precision calipers with lens. One complete turn of the elevation knob will get you out to 1000 yds.
