Proudly representing oil companies, defense contractors, and firearms manufacturers since 1980. Because merchants of death need lawyers, too.

Teddy Was Bad Ass, Period.
I read his book and felt like I was a 240 pound hunting, fishing, college football playing girly-man.
The Dude was tough.

BMT, which book? He wrote over 30. I also bought and was reading one of his books about hunting out west. It was very interesting. I mentioned it to one of my daughters who was a history major in college. She said, "yes, many feel that Teddy was one of the most intelligent president we ever had". Not only was he a hunter, warrior and outdoorsman but he also was extremely smart! Wayne http://www.theodoreroosevelt.org/life/biotr.htm

I'm reading Edmund Morris' biography "The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt" now. Fascinating man.

I'm reading Edmund Morris' biography "The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt" now. Fascinating man. That's likely the best one. I'd also recommend - Mornings on Horseback by David McCullough Truly a fascinating man. Alas, even if he were to rise from the dead he'd find it hard to be elected in this day of mass multimedia. He was relatively short and spoke in a harsh manner in a high that would not sell well on television. If folks are ever through coastal New York I highly recommend stopping and taking the tour of Sagamore Hill.

Having spent too much time there, I wish I hadn't missed that.

We're to pussified now for real men like TR for president. That's why we keep electing girly-men.
One time a gun fighter threaten to kill TR the next time he saw him. When TR came back from NY to SD TR walked into the saloon where the gun fighter was walked up to him, took off his glasses and said something to the effect, I hear you want to kill me. The gun fighter backed down.
Another time some rustlers were stealing horse or cattle I forget which and TR spent over two weeks tracking them down alone and brought them to justice.
But TR had a soft side too. He refused to kill a black bear that had been chained to a tree for him to kill. Hence, TR was called a "Teddy Bear" hence the term teddy bear.
Don't vote knothead, it only encourages them. Anonymous

Most Badass Quote: "I have only two regrets: I didn't shoot Henry Clay and I didn't hang John C. Calhoun."
That's right. In a life rich with murdering people for little-to-no reason, Jackson's only regret was that he didn't kill quite enough people. People like Calhoun who, it should be noted, was Jackson's vice president. ___________________________________________________
